  Case: Just not hard enough
The parent contacts you stating that following. Parent : I don't think you are making the class work hard enough. My child hardly ever has homework and I think you are dumbing down the curriculum because there are some trouble-makers and ‘Special Education' students in the class. How would you approach this situation?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would explain that just because her students is doing well in the class and is not doing a lot of work at home it is more a testament to her students brightness than an insult to him or the rest of the class. I would from then on attempt to monitor the students work and ask him if there is more that he would like to do.
