Case: How would you incorporate technology in your classroom?

The use of technology is very important for this generation of students. I personally use technology with my students every day. My lessons include PowerPoints, videos (such as Brainpop), news articles online, and general planning from research based practices. My students use technology when researching, practicing math skills, creating PowerPoints, reading online through Myon, being assessed online, and much more. I think the biggest thing to incorporate is how those resources actually help the students accomplish the projected outcome. If I just play a Brainpop video and don't discuss it or use it for the lesson, there was no connection between the students and the resource. We have to remember that technology helps guide instruction, but does not replace instruction. |
