Case: Offensive Comments
If you were teaching a social studies lesson about Native Americans. What would you do if one of your students makes a comment like, "The Indians helped the white settlers?. How would you handle this situation?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
You just need to re-direct their choice of words and this can be difficult. Students come with the pre-knowledge of such slang words, and it is's hard to break them of what they hear at home. Just try and teach them to be sensitive to all people and we all help each other no matter the color of skin! |
