  Case: Hands To Yourself
I have a student that cannot keep his hands off of his classmates. He is always wanting to touch children's hair or touch their clothes. The other students in my class get irritated by this student constantly putting his hands on them. Any suggestions as to how to help this pre-kindergarten student keep his hands to himself?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Rosemary Well's "Hands off, Harry!" as a class read may be a conversation starter for the class. This children's book could be used as an ice breaker, without pointing fingers.

Comments: I personally like the idea of presenting a lesson to the entire class about keeping their hands to themselves. It allows the issue to be addressed without pointing fingers.

Comments: Reading "Hands-off, Harry" to the class would be a great idea. This way the student can see and hear the situation himself and be able to have a new perspective. Following the read with a discussion can also help the student understand why they should keep their hands to themselves (because it distracts others, friends may not like it, can spread germs, etc.).

Comments: Also, giving the student something to touch when wanting to touch another student. A sticker on their own clothes or velcro to keep his hands busy.
