The position will not need to be filled until next school year, but I will begin letting my administrators know I am interested in the position soon. How should I prepare for this type of interview. I am already at the school, and deal with the administrator on a daily basis. I would discuss the schedule and requirements that may differ from your current position. I would also try to get in any professional learning on the position that is available. That will help your application as well. I would be sure that I knew what the job entailed and be able to effectively communicate about the position when asked. The best way to find out about the position more is to talk to the teacher who currently holds the position. That person is also likely to be asked by administration if they find a certain teacher capable of the position. If you have shown interest and that you care they are likely to put in a good word.
